SIGN-UPS

Each year sign-ups are given for anyone interested in swimming for the upcoming season.  At sign-ups team suits may be purchased. Team suits change every year.

Kast-A-Way swim wear will be available to help with the proper size and fit of the suit.  Also available will be goggles, caps and other swim accessories should you want to purchase them.  The cost is $75 per swimmer or $175 for three or more swimmers in a family.  Sign-ups are Saturday, April 26 from 11-1 at the Club House.  If you should happen to miss this day, please feel free to call Suzanne Stickelman at 423-9042 or send her an email by clicking on her name

KICK-OFF- PICNIC

Each summer, a kick-off picnic is offered to all swim team members and their families. All swim team board members and coaches will be available to answer any questions. This is a good time to meet any other members of the team. With a $10.00 cost per family, food will be provided. This kick-off picnic is Sunday, June 8 at 6:00PM at the pool.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

A fundraiser, aided by Larry King, is the Golf Tournament. With his help, a special format will be put together with prizes for the winning teams.  The cost will be approximately $15.00 per couple or $10.00 per individual.  Any member who wishes to play may do so.  Sign-ups will be prior to the event at the Pro Shop.  This fund raiser is TBA.

TEE TIMES RAFFLE

Once or twice a month, parents and or coaches are asked to help with the raffle.  On Friday at Tee Times, either a 50/50 drawing or a bottle of liquor will be raffled off.  All the earnings go directly into our funds, so this is an easy money maker.  Tickets cost $1.00 per ticket or 6 for $5.00.  Please sign up to help us out.

PICTURES

Each summer team pictures will be taken for the memory books.  These pictures are in the morning.  Your child(ren) is/are asked to wear his/her team suit.  Pictures are usually taken on the diving boards for individual shots and in the grass for the team picture.  Picture envelopes will be available prior to the picture date.  This date is TBA.

PIZZA PARTY

Each year a team pizza party takes place following a home meet.  Families will be given the opportunity to sign up for the pizza prior to the actual date.  Drinks will be provided.  Following the pizza party, swimmers and or parents may be allowed to swim, depending on the time.  This year the pizza party will follow the Pleasant Run meet on Thursday, July 17.

BEACH DAY

Each summer the team will take a trip to the Beach.  A group discount is given, and anyone is welcome.  The team usually has a central location for the parents to congregate.  We still have practice on this date in the morning.  Many people usually car pool, but you are responsible for finding your child a ride and someone to supervise them.  The date for this is TBA.  Further details will follow.

MEET START TIMES

Coaches will inform their swimmers when each meet will begin.  Not all teams have a diving team, so the swim meet time will vary.  It is important that your swimmer be at the pool at least 30-45 minutes prior to the start of the meet to warm-up properly.  If there is diving, it will be first with the meet starting at 6:00.

CITY MEET

City meet is one of the biggest meets of the year.  All competitive swim teams in Middletown, Franklin, Trenton and Hamilton attend this full day event.  Wildwood has a history of winning this event so everyone is expected to be available to attend.  If your child cannot attend, please notify a coach in advance because the club must pay entry fees prior to the event.  The date for this is TBA.

CHAMPIONSHIPS

Our biggest meet of the year is the League Championships.  Each team in our league takes their turn to host this event.  Every swimmer will swim on one day with the chance to qualify and swim in the finals on the following day.  Relays are also on the second day.  More details will follow throughout the season regarding this particular meet.  To mark your calendars, this meet is Wednesday, July 23 and Thursday, July 24 at

New London Hills.  The diving championships will be on Monday, July 21 at Wildwood.  Please note there will extra volunteering opportunities to host this event.

BANQUET

To wrap up the season, a banquet is held every year for all swimmers.  All family members are welcome.  The main course will be provided, but you are asked to bring a side dish to share.  The banquet date is TBA.
